This page is the definitive source of information about meal distributions and how eligible Vermonters can access prepared meals.
The following information is being updated regularly. Please do not contact hubs directly unless specified below.
Distribution of VEE meals will continue in the hardest-hit areas through September and October 2023.
Individuals and families needing meals can go to:
Capstone is working with Enough Ministries, Good Samaritan, Green Mountain United Way, Interfaith Group Montpelier, Montpelier Roxbury Schools, and Neighbors in Action in Cabot to distribute meals to their clients.
Intervale Center is distributing meals to farmers and farmworkers who had significant disruption to their jobs as a result of the flood. If you are in that category and need a meal, contact Hannah Baxter at hannah@intervale.org.
Meals are available at the following restaurants on a first-come, first-served basis. Go to participating stores during their open hours and ask for VT Emergency Eats meals. No paperwork or registration required.

If you are an Addison County resident whose food security has been negatively impacted by the recent flooding, you can email a request to meals@givingfridge.com including why you qualify, the number of people in your household, any dietary restrictions, and your delivery address. Someone will be in touch with you to confirm. Meals will be available after September 12th by scheduled delivery only.
Meals are available at Olney's General Store (Orleans) during the following hours: Sun- 7am-7pm, Mon-Thurs 5am-8pm, Fri- 5am- 9pm, and Sat- 6am-9pm. 100 meals per day are currently available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Meals will be made available to Ethan Allen employees and others impacted by the flooding.
Black River Good Neighbors in Ludlow is providing vouchers to eligible residents of Ludlow, Cavendish, Mt. Holly, and Plymouth from 10-3 Monday through Thursday. Krey Kellington is the ED and can be contacted by anyone facing challenges in making it to BRGN to get vouchers. Black River Good Neighbors is at 37B Main Street, Ludlow, VT 05149. Local voucher recipients can redeem them for meals at the following locations. VEE meals may be available during limited days and hours, which may change from day to day. Please call the restaurants directly or check the Chester Helping Hands FB page for the most updated information.
